Be Bold: New Moon in Aries, 2023

The sun moves into Aries on March 20th, heralding Spring. It’s the birth of the zodiacal new year.

On March 21st at 12:26 PM Central time, we will have a new moon in fiery, bold Aries. Grab your journal and set some intentions. You might want to use your horoscope below to help you think about what areas of your life to focus on.

Channel your inner Aries spirit and be bold and brave with your intentions! (Because you already are brave, even if you don’t know it.)

Earlier this month, structured Saturn moved from air sign Aquarius into dreamy Pisces on March 7th, where it will reside for the next three years. This is kind of a big deal. In fact, you may have already heard about it.

Saturn is all about discipline and using your time wisely.

Pisces is a dreamy water sign. It’s the depths of the ocean filled with rainbow-colored fish 🐠 and mermaids. 🧜‍♀️

Pisces doesn’t love boundaries, yet Saturn is all about boundaries. So, you may find that boundaries may seem unclear. Or there may be a strong desire to escape from boundaries.

Social structures (and other structures) may shift or dissolve—imagine Saturn as a sugar cube dissolving in a glass of water.

This can include all sorts of areas of our lives, like work, business, government, and financial institutions.

Regulations and structures related to water, medicine, spirituality, and perhaps even the arts may be highlighted in the next few years.

In our personal lives, Saturn will be checking in with us to see if we have been doing the work related to where it shows up in our charts.

Where have we been disciplined and seen results? Where are our limitations? In what ways are we still not being disciplined or using our time effectively? Where are our fears holding us back?

And in even BIGGER astrological news, Pluto changes signs on March 23 as it moves from Capricorn to Aquarius.

Why is this such a big deal? Pluto doesn’t change signs often and when it does it stays there for a long time. It has been in Capricorn since 2008.

Also, Pluto is known as the Lord of the Underworld for a reason. It heralds deep changes in whatever area of our lives it touches.

These may be shifts deep within our psyches that leave us a brand new version of ourselves.

Or, we might experience more obvious changes that might feel difficult at the time, yet leave us stronger or wiser. Wherever these changes are happening for you will depend on where Aquarius is in your own chart.

This year Pluto will retrograde back into Capricorn and then move back into Aquarius again by next January. There will be one more dip back into earthy Capricorn in September 2024 before it’s full speed ahead into Aquarius for the next 20 years.

During this time, we will see significant societal changes. While Pluto was in Capricorn, we witnessed some dramatic shifts to financial and governmental systems.

The next couple of years (beginning with some rumblings this year) will herald a shift into a new era that will continue to find its footing and take us all on a journey over the next two decades.

For context, the last time Pluto was in Aquarius was 1778 to 1798, a time of tremendous revolution.

Aquarius is an energy associated with humanity as well as things of a scientific and digital nature. It’s no big surprise that we see big changes on the horizon in the areas of information technology and artificial intelligence.

We are living in a time of great change that we probably can’t even fully imagine just yet.

On a much lighter note, lovely Venus entered Taurus, one of her home signs, on March 16th.

She will lounge there until April 11th when she moves into Gemini. Venus is the goddess of art, beauty, money, and love.

She loves all things sensual, especially when she is luxuriating in Taurus, an earth sign.

Allow yourself to indulge in that spa treatment. Enjoy some romance. Surround yourself with flowers.

Eat the chocolate and savor every bite.
