Time to Tidy Up and Start Fresh! New Moon in Virgo + Fall Equinox & Libra Season Begins

Summer is quickly drawing to a close as we welcome autumn later this month. The leaves are beginning to drift from the trees and temperatures here in Tennessee are dipping (!) into the 70s and 80s. Virgo season wraps up summer—it’s the in-between as we move from summer to fall. It represents the harvest, the fruits of labor, of hard work. Now we will be moving into Libra season. It’s time to break out the sweaters and the pumpkin lattes!

New Moon in

Virgo + Libra Season Begins!

We will welcome the New Moon at 21 degrees of Earth sign Virgo on September 14, 2023, at 9:40 p.m. ET.

Virgo strives for perfection. The details matter. You may want to set some intentions around getting organized or caring for your health by revisiting your diet and exercise plan—basically bringing attention to getting the details of your life in order.

The key is to discern and discriminate wisely, yet not to criticize or fall into analysis paralysis or insecurity over perfectionism gone wild!

Mercury is Direct!

Mercury moves full steam ahead in Virgo on September 15th. Have you felt like you were in a loop since the end of August? Any snafus with electronics, communications, or travel? Let out a sigh of relief if so.

Mercury retrograde also is a time that allows for reflection and revision, for making some course corrections. How did it play out for you? As the retrograde comes to a close, do you feel like you have some clarity?

The retrograde was in Virgo—now that we also have a New Moon in Virgo, you may feel an additional sense of clarity and direction. It’s time to move forward with your plans.

Fall Equinox: Libra Season Begins

Summer comes to a close during Virgo season, and with Libra season we welcome autumn with the Fall (or Autumnal) Equinox on September 23.

Libra represents balance and harmony, which is perfect for the equinox—a day when we have equal amounts of daylight hours and nighttime hours.

We are transitioning from one part of the year to the next, moving away from the heat and lushness of spring and summer and into the time of dormancy and reflection that fall and winter bring.

We also will enter eclipse season in October while we are still in Libra season, but more on that later.
